We're looking for a Business Improvement Advisor to help drive continuous improvement across the organisation. Working with leaders and teams from across the City, you'll identify opportunities to improve services, streamline processes and strengthen how we measure organisational performance.
This role combines business improvement, data analysis and stakeholder engagement. You'll work on projects that improve efficiency, support better decision-making and help ensure our services continue to meet the needs of our community.
Location: City of Melville Civic Centre
Salary: $139,511.66 pro-rata p.a. + 12% Super
Employment Type: Permanent Full Time
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead and support business improvement projects and service reviews
- Analyse business processes, identify opportunities for improvement and recommend practical solutions
- Develop and embed meaningful performance measures and KPIs
- Support teams to understand and use performance data to inform decisions
- Facilitate workshops and collaborate with stakeholders to improve ways of working
- Develop process documentation, including process maps and standard operating procedures
- Prepare reports and recommendations for leadership, the Audit, Risk and Improvement Committee and Council
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement, accountability and evidence-based decision making
What We’re Looking For
You'll be someone who enjoys understanding how organisations work and finding practical ways to improve them. You're comfortable working with data, building relationships and managing projects from planning through to implementation.
To be successful in this role you'll have:
- A current National Police Clearance or willingness to obtain
- A tertiary qualification in Business Analysis, Business Improvement, Economics, Accounting or a related discipline
- Experience delivering business improvement, process optimisation or organisational change initiatives
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate data into meaningful insights
- Experience developing performance measures and reporting frameworks
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Well-developed project management and organisational skills
- An understanding of governance, risk management and continuous improvement principles
