Creative Learning Producer – Libraries
The City of Melville is seeking an innovative and community-focused Creative Learning Producer to lead the development and delivery of engaging learning experiences for children, young people and families across our library network. This role sits within Library Services and plays a key part in fostering literacy, creativity, digital capability and community connection through high-quality programs and initiatives.

Salary: Level 5/6 $90,561.18 to $104,815.05 pro-rata p.a. + 12% Super
Employment Type: Permanent Full Time
What You’ll Be Doing
As our Creative Learning Producer, you will design, coordinate and deliver a diverse range of library-based learning programs that inspire participation and support lifelong learning. From early literacy programs and children's events to STEAM activities, digital learning opportunities and school holiday initiatives, you'll create meaningful experiences that respond to the needs and interests of our community.
You will also:
- Lead the planning and delivery of key programs such as Better Beginnings, Children's Book Week and School Holiday Activities.
- Develop innovative learning opportunities that promote literacy, creativity, digital literacy and lifelong learning.
- Build and maintain partnerships with schools, community organisations, artists, creative practitioners and other stakeholders.
- Use research, community insights and evaluation data to guide service planning and continuous improvement.
- Support a child-safe and inclusive environment where everyone feels welcome to learn, create and connect.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience designing, delivering and evaluating learning programs for children, young people and families.
- Strong project and program management skills, including budgeting and coordination of multiple initiatives.
- The ability to analyse information and use evidence-based approaches to enhance services and programs.
- Highly developed communication and relationship-building skills.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience in libraries, education, community learning, event management or a related field.
