Full Job Description

About the Role

We are working with a growing building business in the Greater Sydney region seeking to add an experienced Draftsperson to their team.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and produce detailed construction drawings and documentation using AutoCAD and SketchUp
Manage the full documentation lifecycle from concept through to council lodgement and construction issue
Ensure all drawings comply with relevant Australian Standards and NCC/BCA requirements
Coordinate with project managers, engineers and external consultants on design changes
Respond to revision requests accurately and in a timely manner
Assist in the preparation of planning and development application documentation

Skills & Experience

Minimum 2 years experience in a drafting role within the building or construction industry
Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential
Proficiency in SketchUp is desired
Sound knowledge of the NCC and Australian Standards
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently and within a team

Desirable

Tertiary qualification in Drafting, Building Design or a related discipline
Experience with Revit or other BIM software
Familiarity with NSW council lodgement processes
