Community Paediatric Occupational Therapist Wanted!

Would you like to work within a small private OT business where you work collaboratively with the owner?

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Paediatric Occupational Therapist to join our growing community-based team. This is a rewarding opportunity to work across private and NDIS-funded caseloads, supporting children and young people to reach their full potential in everyday life.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive OT assessments and develop individualised intervention plans for paediatric clients
Deliver evidence-based therapy across home, school, and community settings
Provide support for a range of presentations including developmental delays, autism spectrum disorder, sensory processing differences, fine and gross motor difficulties, and participation in daily occupations
Plan and facilitate NDIS-funded supports in line with participants’ goals and plans
Prepare high-quality NDIS reports including Initial, Progress, and Functional Capacity Assessment reports
Liaise and collaborate with families, educators, support coordinators, and allied health professionals
Maintain accurate clinical records and documentation in line with NDIS Quality and Safeguards requirements
Participate in weekly team supervision and planning meetings
Contribute to the team’s professional learning community and peer support culture

Selection Criteria

Essential

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy
Current registration with Occupational Therapy Australia (OTA) and AHPRA
Working with Children Check (WWCC) or equivalent, and National Police Check
Current driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle
NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
Strong commitment to person-centred, family-focused practice

Desirable

Experience or placement in paediatric or community OT settings
Familiarity with NDIS processes, funding categories, and report writing
