Role Description: We are looking for Data Governance Lead to design and execution of an enterprise Data Governance function, driving ownership, quality, and value realisation from data assets. Partner with business and technology leaders to embed governance frameworks, enhance data quality, and ensure alignment with risk and compliance requirements
Location: Melbourne
Salary: AUD 192,845– 209,939 Annual Gross

Roles and Responsibilities:-
Define and implement Data Governance strategy, frameworks, and operating model
-
Establish and scale Data Stewardship and Data Custodian models with clear ownership and accountability
-
Embed data quality, lineage, metadata, and governance controls across business processes and platforms
-
Drive enterprise adoption through stakeholder engagement, governance forums, and change enablement
-
Define and track data governance KPIs, quality metrics, and maturity indicators
-
Align with risk, compliance, and information governance frameworks
-
Lead continuous improvement initiatives to address data gaps and support transformation programs.
Technical Expertise & Federal SAP Requirements-
Strong experience in enterprise data governance frameworks (stewardship, quality, lineage, policy)

Proven ability to build and scale governance functions in complex organisations
-
Experience in data risk, compliance, and regulatory environments
-
Ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive enterprise-wide change
-
Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills
Experience across
data, analytics, and modern data platforms (including cloud environments
Essential:-
Education:

Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or Information Management.

Work Experience:

20+ years of experience in Data Governance experience

Strong attention to detail and outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills.
