At CHU, we don’t just offer jobs, we seek to build technical experts and future industry leaders.
This position is designed for claims professionals who are ready to:
- Move from managing claims to owning investigations end-to-end
- Build on-site assessment and technical expertise
- Develop into a fully qualified Loss Adjuster
You’ll gain exposure to complex strata, commercial, and catastrophe claims, while working alongside experienced adjusters and specialists who will mentor you along the way. Of course, if you are already experienced and working in the Adjusting space, we are also always keen to hear from you and help you continue to advance your career!
What your new job looks like:
- Conduct on-site property assessments, identifying cause, extent, and impact of loss
- Work closely with builders, engineers, and stakeholders to understand damage and recovery options
- Strengthen your skills in policy interpretation and coverage decisions
- Investigate claims thoroughly, gathering evidence to support indemnity and recovery decisions
- Formulating scope of works
- Manage claims through to fair and timely settlement
- Contribute to improving customer experience and assessment processes
We'd love to meet you…..
Especially if you can talk to us about your:
Essential
- 3+ years in property claims handling (ideally with previous strata claims)
- Experience with complex, commercial, or CAT claims
- A desire to step into a more technical, investigative role
- Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder skills
- Curiosity and a passion for understanding “what really happened” in a claim
- A driver’s licence and willingness to attend site visits
- Current base in metro Melbourne
Desirable
- AICLA Diploma in Loss Adjusting or qualifications attained through ANZIIF
- Thorough knowledge of commercial and residential construction industries
- Knowledge of property claims law and jurisdictional issues
- Previous desktop or on road Loss Adjusting experience
