As we continue to grow, we are seeking a dynamic and commercially astute Area Lead for our Melbourne Division.
Alongside leading your team, you will maintain a practical connection to the field by completing a portion of estimating and supervising responsibilities directly costed to projects.
Financial Management & Oversight
- Maintain full control over company invoicing processes, client follow-ups, and compliance in coordination with the administrative team.
- Review regional financials in Prime and Xero under the guidance of the Victorian State Operations Manager.
- Oversee subcontractor payments and manage outstanding invoices across client portals and insurance adjusters.
- Manage regional budgets, financial forecasting, and weekly financial reporting.
Reporting & Performance Management
- Conduct weekly KPI reporting and performance reviews for supervisors, estimators, and administration staff.
- Prepare and present Monthly Business Review Reports and Weekly State Manager Review Documents covering the region's financial position.
- Review monthly client scorecards and lead portal report reviews to ensure targets and actions are met.
Operations & Area Management
- Manage day-to-day regional office operations and capacity planning to ensure optimal staffing levels.
- Address and resolve client complaints or operational issues swiftly.
- Attend client performance meetings and act as a key representative of the business.
Staff Leadership & Development
- Provide continuous coaching, leadership, and support to the regional team.
- Manage staff leave planning, training matrices, and facilitate monthly training on software, compliance, and systems.
- Lead workforce planning, recruitment strategies, and conduct performance reviews in collaboration with HR and the State Operations Manager.
What We Are Looking For
- Proven experience in regional operational management, ideally within the construction, building, or insurance restoration industries.
- Strong financial literacy with experience in budget control, invoicing processes, and software such as Xero, Prime, or Jobpacs.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to coach, mentor, and drive KPIs across multidisciplinary teams (supervisors, estimators, and admins).
- Practical competency in construction supervising and estimating.
- Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills to manage client portals and insurance adjusters.
