Full Job Description

RMS Sheetmetal is part of the RMS Manufacturing Group, a leader in electrical switchboard manufacturing and metal fabrication. Known for high-quality workmanship, innovation and customer service, we continue to grow to meet the needs of our clients across Australia.

We are currently looking for an experienced Metal Fabricator to join our team at our Deer Park facility on a full time permanent basis, manufacturing high-quality electrical enclosures and custom fabrication solutions.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Manufacturing a variety of custom enclosures in a fast-paced workshop
Interpret engineering drawings and fabrication specifications.
Measure, mark and prepare metal materials for fabrication.
Cut, shape and form metal using fabrication equipment.
Assemble and fabricate metal components and structures.
Perform MIG, TIG and Arc welding where required.
Grind, finish and prepare fabricated products.
Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards are met.
Operate workshop machinery and fabrication tools safely.
Carry out repairs and modifications to metal products.
Maintain a clean and organised work environment.
Work effectively with supervisors and other team members.
Follow workplace health and safety procedures at all times.
Collaborating with a skilled and supportive team

What You’ll Bring:

Relevant Trade Qualification or at least 3 years of relevant experience
Minimum of 1-year previous relevant experience required
Strong MIG welding experience
Ability to read and work from CAD or shop drawings
Positive attitude and a strong work ethic
Ability to work independently and in a team
Reliable, punctual and willing to work overtime when required
High motivation and willingness to learn
