We are currently looking for an experienced Metal Fabricator to join our team at our Deer Park facility on a full time permanent basis, manufacturing high-quality electrical enclosures and custom fabrication solutions.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Manufacturing a variety of custom enclosures in a fast-paced workshop
- Interpret engineering drawings and fabrication specifications.
- Measure, mark and prepare metal materials for fabrication.
- Cut, shape and form metal using fabrication equipment.
- Assemble and fabricate metal components and structures.
- Perform MIG, TIG and Arc welding where required.
- Grind, finish and prepare fabricated products.
- Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards are met.
- Operate workshop machinery and fabrication tools safely.
- Carry out repairs and modifications to metal products.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment.
- Work effectively with supervisors and other team members.
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures at all times.
- Collaborating with a skilled and supportive team
What You’ll Bring:
- Relevant Trade Qualification or at least 3 years of relevant experience
- Minimum of 1-year previous relevant experience required
- Strong MIG welding experience
- Ability to read and work from CAD or shop drawings
- Positive attitude and a strong work ethic
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Reliable, punctual and willing to work overtime when required
- High motivation and willingness to learn
