Are you a detail-oriented and analytical Accountant with a passion for financial accuracy, compliance, and supporting business growth?

Inaya Homes is seeking a dedicated and experienced Accountant to join our professional team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated accounting professional to develop their career within the residential construction industry while contributing to accurate financial management, reporting, and business operations.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, reports, and statements in accordance with accounting standards
Manage daily accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, and reconciliations
Prepare financial statements, budgets, forecasts, cash flow reports, and management reports
Monitor construction project costs, supplier invoices, expenses, and budget performance
Prepare BAS, GST reporting, payroll records, and assist with taxation compliance requirements
Complete month-end and year-end financial reporting processes
Review and analyse financial data to ensure accuracy and support business decisions
Maintain compliance with Australian taxation legislation, accounting standards, and internal policies
Liaise with external accountants, suppliers, contractors, and other business stakeholders
Maintain accounting systems, financial records, and documentation
Identify opportunities to improve accounting procedures, reporting processes, and operational efficiency

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related discipline
Minimum 1–2 years of relevant experience working as an Accountant
Strong understanding of Australian accounting principles, taxation, and compliance requirements
Previous experience within the construction, property, or related industry will be highly regarded
Experience using accounting software such as Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, or similar platforms
Strong Microsoft Excel skills and ability to prepare financial reports
High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Excellent communication, organisation, and time management skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
CPA/CA qualification (or working towards completion) will be considered an advantage
