Job title: Residential Care Officer

Pay: AUD $75,000-$85,000 per year

Key Responsibilities include:

supporting families and delivering care for children and people with disabilities in group homes, care facilities and service centres
providing day-to-day supervision and safeguarding the welfare of residents, and coordinating daily living and social activities within the facility
evaluating client needs and designing, coordinating and delivering tailored support, education and training programs
conducting interviews to determine the scope and seriousness of client challenges
tracking client outcomes and preparing regular progress updates
directing clients to suitable organisations for specialised assistance
identifying community needs and reviewing the availability of services for health, housing, employment, education, and welfare
collaborating with local groups, service providers, government departments and businesses to raise awareness and address community concerns
drafting funding proposals, resource applications and formal reports for government and other stakeholders

Requirements:

A relevant diploma or higher qualifications with specialisation in residential care services, health and wellbeing, disability services or youth work.
Experiences within a home care/residential care/disability care/youth work setting desired.
Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to commute to client homes and different residential facilities
Valid driver's license and access to dependable transportation.
Police Check.
