Assistant Project Officer

About Us:

Community Infrastructure sits within the Land and Property Directorate in School Infrastructure. We deliver innovative, and efficient solutions ensuring that public schools are public assets. Through building and maintaining authentic stakeholder relationships we ensure every community and every student is known, valued and cared for. By sharing and activating Government school assets, we increase a sense of belonging for community and young people. Working closely with internal teams and external partners, we support schools in sharing facilities, outside of school hours, with community and third parties.

About the role

The Assistant Project Officer provides project support to enable the effective development and management of third party licences and community use agreements on NSW Public Schools, and undertake routine financial activities in accordance with established policies and procedures. This role manages a shared inbox, supports frontline enquiries, supports records management and collaborates independently with internal and external stakeholders.

Confidently build and sustain collaborative working relationships

Experience in providing high level support for administrative duties, frontline enquiries and meeting operational objectives.
Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department’s Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department’s Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.

Essential requirements of the role

Tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent workplace experience in business or project support.
Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education.
