NBMLHD Community Mental Health offers a range of specialised services for children, young people, families and older people, through our community-based services and health centers. We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Mental Health Clinician to join our team and play a vital role in supporting people living with mental illness and mental health disorders. In this rewarding position, you will deliver comprehensive, person-centred mental health services that are recovery-oriented, evidence-based, and focused on achieving the best possible outcomes for consumers. Working collaboratively with individuals, their families, nominated carers, and multidisciplinary teams, you will provide care that is respectful, inclusive, rehabilitative, and tailored to each person's unique needs and goals.

This role offers the opportunity to empower consumers to build resilience, strengthen self-advocacy, and maximise their independence and quality of life. You will contribute to the delivery of least restrictive care, fostering a supportive environment that promotes recovery, wellbeing, and community participation.

What you will bring to the role

Tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Nursing and including eligibility for membership of relevant professional body &/or full registration (if applicable) with AHPRA.
Demonstrated skills in mental health and discipline specific assessments and interventions and experience working with people with mental illness.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate meaningfully with consumers and carers with a commitment and understanding of recovery principles in mental health service provision.
Demonstrated working knowledge of NSW Mental Health Act, 2007 and Mental Health Amendment (Statutory Review) Act 2014 .
Demonstrated excellent communication skills including verbal, written, and good interpersonal skills.
Computer competence and literacy.
Current Driver's Licence and willingness to use for work purpose travel.
