Our venue combines elevated yet approachable dining with a relaxed atmosphere, specialising in Mediterranean-inspired tapas, woodfired pizza, seasonal produce, and curated food and beverage experiences.
We are looking for a passionate and creative Head Chef to lead our kitchen and help shape the next chapter of our venue.
The Role
As Head Chef, you will oversee all kitchen operations and play a key role in developing our food identity and customer experience. This is a hands-on leadership position suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, values consistency and creativity, and takes pride in building a strong kitchen culture.
You will work closely with ownership and management to deliver a menu that is refined, seasonal, profitable, and exciting while maintaining high operational standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all kitchen operations
- Design and execute seasonal Mediterranean-inspired menus
- Oversee woodfired pizza and tapas service
- Manage food costs, portion control, and kitchen budgets
- Maintain consistency, quality, and presentation standards
- Train, mentor, and lead kitchen staff
- Create efficient kitchen systems and workflows
- Manage stock ordering, supplier relationships, and inventory
- Ensure compliance with food safety and WHS standards
- Collaborate on special events, tasting nights, and venue experiences
- Contribute ideas for ongoing menu development and business growth
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a high-volume venue
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Passion for Mediterranean-style cuisine and quality produce
- Experience with woodfired cooking and/or pizza highly regarded
- Ability to manage food cost percentages and kitchen profitability
- Creative mindset with strong attention to detail
- Calm and organised under pressure
- Strong communication and time management skills
- Current food safety certification
- Availability to work nights, weekends, and public holidays
