About the Role:

This role primarily involves preparing and cooking high-quality, nutritious meals tailored to our residents' dietary needs. You will also supervise a team of catering staff, ensuring that all meals are prepared with exceptional quality and safety standards. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about hospitality and dedicated to positively impacting the lives of older adults. Responsibilities may vary based on the operational needs of the facility.

The successful candidate will be required to work the following shifts on a permanent part-time basis:

Week 1: Monday 0630-1400hrs, Tuesday 0630-1400hrs

Week 2: Monday 0630-1400hrs, Tuesday 0630-1400hrs

Total 14hrs per week or 28hrs per Fortnight

Key Responsibilities:

Preparing and cooking high-quality, nourishing meals for our residents
Ensuring adherence to safe food handling and infection control procedures
Maintaining a clean and hygienic kitchen environment
Managing stock control, replenishing, and ordering as needed
Complying with Juniper’s Occupational Safety and Health standards
Supervising and providing direction to Kitchen Hands

Key Requirements:

Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or higher
Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
Minimum 2 years of experience as a Cook/Chef in large-scale meal production
Experience in production environments
Basic knowledge of dietary nutrition for elderly residents
Ability to manage bulk ordering, purchasing, and stock control
Strong budgeting skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
