About the role

The Remuneration Department at Eastern Health is currently looking for an enthusiastic Payroll Consultant to join our Payroll Team.

Currently operating on the SAP payroll system and electronic rostering system Optima, our Payroll Team is responsible for the fortnightly end to end pay of over 12,000 employees. Working within a fast-paced environment you will report Directly to the Payroll Manager preforming all payroll tasks and duties as required to achieve a successful and accurate pay on time every time.

About you

To be successful in this role you will possess:
Minimum 2 years’ payroll experience in a large organisation
Knowledge of Health Services Awards, preferred but not essential
Experience using SAP Payroll and Optima rostering system, preferred but not essential
A desire to achieve and have an enthusiastic attitude towards learning
The ability to work as part of a diverse team
Strong attention to detail
Excellent communication and organisational skills

Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.

Those that are offered and/or start between January and April do not require an up to date vaccination for Influenza to progress providing they are aware of its requirement later in the year. Those that are offered and/or start between May and December require the up to date Influenza vaccination prior to offer.
