Full Job Description

Casual role

Casual shifts available Week1- Thu & Sat (opportunities to pick other shifts)

Requirements of the role

Hold a Certificate III in Allied Health Assistance or higher/equivalent.

A Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance or equivalent/higher or experience (Desirable but not essential).

Have experience in a similar role preferred (Occupational Therapist Assistant or Physiotherapist Assistant).

Strong organisational and time management skills.

Excellent customer service skills.

Demonstrated ability to lead and coach staff to deliver quality lifestyle and therapy activities.

Sound written and verbal communication skills.

Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Have empathy with the elderly.

Have full Australian working rights and able to pass a national police clearance.

Location

Aegis Parkview is a 79-bed facility situated on Drummond Street in Redcliffe. Drummond was a botanist and the four wings are named after native Australian plants.

Accommodation comprises of extra service and dementia care wings. All rooms are single with a large ensuite bathroom and air conditioning. The different wings all have their own lounge and dining areas with large individual courtyards. The facility is surrounded by well-maintained gardens.

As an integral part of the team, you will:

Provide mobility and exercise programs to our Residents under the direction and supervision of the Physiotherapist.

Provide recreational and other Therapeutic activity programs to our Residents under the direction and supervision of the Occupational Therapist.

Participate in the organisation and planning of Therapy programs.

Deliver a range of Therapy-based activity programs as directed.

Complete accurate documentation in line with relevant guidelines.

Accompany Resident groups on outings.
