We are looking for an exceptional Activity Assistant for our Perth Social Centre. Reporting to the Social Centre Co-ordinator, you will run programs that promote social engagement for our clients. You will also provide client transport as required.
This is role is offered on a permanent, part-time basis at the Perth Social Centre. Shifts will be:
- 8:30am – 4:30pm Tuesdays
- 8:30am – 4:30pm Thursdays
- There will also be the opportunity to pick up additional shifts covering leave
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver programs, activities and outings for clients.
- Assist in meal preparation with clients.
- Undertake efficient and safe client transport using a bus/van to and from the Centre.
Essential criteria:
- Previous experience in a Therapy or Activity Assistant role.
- Skills in providing client centred, meaningful activities
- Current Police Clearance, or willingness to apply for one
- Willingness to obtain required vaccinations – minimum of one covid vaccination and 2026 flu vaccination.
- Current C class drivers’ licence.
Desirable criteria:
- Certificate 3 or 4 Allied Health Assistance or Certificate 3 Aged Care or Individual Support (Aged Care or Home and Community Care).
- Demonstrated knowledge of local community services.
- LR Class Drivers licence or willingness to obtain one.
