About the role

Permanent part-time opportunity to provide advanced clinical nursing care and leadership within Child Health - Ngarrama, delivering culturally safe, consumer-centred care and contributing to the effective functioning of the service. The role supports and guides registered nurses and non-registered nursing personnel in complex child health situations and works collaboratively with midwives, nurses, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Workers and allied health professionals.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

Fulfil the responsibilities of this role in accordance with Schedule 2, Nurses and Midwives (Queensland Health Award) (2015) - Generic Level Statements (GLS) Nurse Grade 6 Band 1 and the Queensland Health and Metro North Health's commitments and values, in achievement of the organisational goals and Domains of Practice.
Practice in accordance with code of ethics, professional standards and legislation affecting nursing practice by maintaining current knowledge and competence within scope of position.
Support change management principles by providing culturally sensitive support, guidance, mentoring, preceptorship, role modelling and promoting cooperation and collaborative teamwork.
Apply advanced clinical nursing expertise, including assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation, to deliver a high standard of consumer/patient centred care.
