An exciting opportunity to join a highly motivated and collaborative Data Partnerships team as a Data Support Coordinator!
As the Data Support Coordinator, you will play an important role in supporting the authorised exchange and acquisition of data between Revenue NSW and external organisations, including government agencies and third-party data providers.
Working across a broad range of stakeholders, you will coordinate data-sharing arrangements, manage data exchange requests, support governance processes and contribute to the efficient handling of externally sourced data. You will help ensure data is managed in a way that is lawful, secure and aligned with legislative, governance and stewardship requirements.
You will work closely with Business stakeholders, Data Stewards, Governance and Assurance teams, Information Management and external organisations to coordinate activities across the data exchange lifecycle and support the delivery of operational, compliance and analytical outcomes for Revenue NSW.
This role provides an opportunity to contribute to the ongoing uplift of the Data Partnerships function by improving processes, developing operational documentation, strengthening governance practices and helping create more efficient and consistent ways of working.
About the Team
The Data Partnerships team is responsible for managing authorised data exchange and acquisition between Revenue NSW and external entities, including government agencies and third-party data holders.
The team acts as the central coordination and control point for external data exchange activities, ensuring data obtained from, or disclosed to, external organisations is appropriately authorised, securely managed and used in accordance with legislative, governance and stewardship requirements.
Through this role, the Data Partnerships team enables trusted cross-agency collaboration and supports Revenue NSW in using externally sourced data to deliver operational, compliance and analytical outcomes.
Key Responsibilities

Coordinate data-sharing arrangements with external organisations, including maintaining documentation, tracking approvals and supporting reviews and variations.

Support the administration of Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) and other data-sharing agreements.

Manage intake, triage, tracking and record-keeping for inbound and outbound data exchange requests.

Coordinate activities across business stakeholders, Data Stewards, governance teams and technical teams to ensure requests are progressed through the appropriate pathways.

Maintain registers, records and reporting relating to active, legacy and in-progress data-sharing arrangements.

Support operational data handling activities, including coordinating secure transfers, file management and hand-offs between teams.

Develop and maintain process documentation, workflow guides, templates, procedures and operational records.

Identify opportunities to improve processes, controls and ways of working to enhance efficiency, consistency and transparency across the data exchange lifecycle.

Support governance activities by ensuring appropriate approvals, audit trails and documentation are maintained.

Provide guidance and knowledge transfer to team members on established workflows and operational practices.

Assist with onboarding and training activities to promote consistency, quality and compliance across the team.

Monitor process adherence and identify opportunities to strengthen controls, improve efficiency and reduce operational risk.
To be successful in the role you will demonstrate

Experience coordinating activities involving multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.

Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage workflows, track actions and maintain accurate records.

Experience developing, documenting or improving business processes, operational procedures or workflows.

Ability to analyse information, identify issues and contribute to practical solutions.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy, quality and compliance.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to build productive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Experience supporting governance, information management, records management, data-related activities or operational processes would be highly regarded.

Understanding of data governance, privacy, information management or data-sharing principles would be beneficial.

Experience using Microsoft Office applications, SharePoint and workflow or tracking systems would be advantageous.

Demonstrated initiative and a continuous improvement mindset, with a focus on making processes more efficient, organised and effective.
