About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Quality Inspector to join our afternoon shift working 3:30 pm to 12:00 am (Monday to Thursday) and 1:00 pm to 7:00 pm (Friday). You will be responsible for conducting in-process and final inspections on manufactured components and assemblies to ensure compliance with customer and engineering.
You will work closely with production teams to identify quality issues, support corrective actions, and maintain accurate inspection documentation.
Key responsibilities
Conduct in-process and final inspections on manufactured components, assemblies, and finished goods.
Interpret and follow engineering drawings, technical specifications, customer requirements, and inspection procedures.
Perform dimensional inspections using: callipers, micrometres, gauges, CMM equipment and other precision measurement tools.
Create and maintain inspection reports and identify, document, and segregate non-conforming materials.
Raise Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and support containment and corrective action activities.
Perform calibration activities on measurement equipment in line with established procedures and acceptance criteria.
Support continuous improvement initiatives and quality system compliance
Skills and Experiences:
The successful candidate will have:
Previous experience as a Calibration and/or Inspection Technician or similar.
Experience performing inspections using CMM equipment, including both manual and CNC methods.
Strong capability using precision measurement tools including callipers, micrometres, gauges, and laboratory measurement equipment.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Sound understanding of tolerancing principles, including GD&T.
Machining or toolmaking experience/trade background will be highly regarded.
Experience using inspection software such as Verisurf, VDMIS, or BuildIT.
