Pharmacy Melbourne Full Time Slade Pharmacy

About the Role
We have permanent full-time opportunity available at our large pharmacy in Richmond. We are seeking pharmacists who are eager to get out from behind the counter and truly engage with patients. You will gain the opportunity to support several reputable and major IVF clinics.

This is a truly unique community pharmacy role based at the entrance to Victoria’s largest private hospital. This pharmacy is at the front end of our hospital pharmacy process delivering professional pharmacy services to both discharged patients and the public.

You will also be trained in the fertility realm and in turn, provide the best support for our patients and our clinics. There are always opportunities to expand your knowledge and skill set as we have satellite pharmacies within the clinics which are operated by our diversified team of pharmacists.

The role is unique as in addition to our large retail footprint and out IVF and fertility services, we are embedded in the Epworth Private Hospital and our pharmacists can deeply engage with patients to provide discharge medication counselling.

Key Responsibilities:

Dispense and supply medication and pharmacy products in an inpatient and outpatient setting
Create and provide medication profiles to patients on discharge
Counsel hospital patients on discharge medications
Counsel patients presenting at our pharmacy for specialised medication including oncology and IVF products.
Develop and maintain professional relationships with key stakeholders to ensure excellent customer service to clients and patients
Support patients, carers, and hospital staff through the patient journey
Educate and advise staff and patients on health promotion, disease prevention, drug selection and the proper use of medicines

Who are we looking for?
We are looking for a passionate and motivated pharmacist who is eager to further develop their career by delivering exceptional pharmacy services to our patients.

Key Requirements:

Be a pharmacist with current AHPRA general registration.
Have previous experience working as a pharmacist in an Australian or New Zealand based pharmacy.
Be flexible and adaptable to work within diverse teams.
Possess strong knowledge of the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS).
Be able to demonstrate strong time management, communication and teamwork skills.
Be ready to embrace change and commit to lifelong learning.
Value attention to detail and able to work autonomously.
