Full Job Description

Role Type: 12-month contract

Hours: full time or part time hours available
Salary: $86,165 – $98,972 p.a plus super (pro rata if part time)

The opportunity:
Join Generation Victoria (GenV), one of the world's largest intergenerational cohort studies, and help advance research that improves the health and wellbeing of children, families and communities. We are seeking a Project Officer to support the delivery of research ethics, governance and grant activities, working alongside a collaborative and high-performing team to enable impactful research that informs policy and practice.

This opportunity is offered as a full-time position; however, applications for two part-time appointments will also be considered.

What you’ll do

Coordinate research ethics and governance activities, including applications, amendments, progress reports, research agreements and stakeholder communications
Assist with development and adherence to protocols and procedures, including record keeping and reporting
Coordinate the delivery of GenV's grant strategy, including assistance with GenV-led and collaborator-led scientific and academic grant applications
Develop and foster collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders, supporting researchers throughout the grant application process

What you’ll bring

Demonstrated experience working within research projects (minimum of 2 years), preferably with families and children
Proven experience preparing grant applications and research ethics and governance submissions
Excellent scientific writing and document formatting skills, including explanatory figures, diagrams and tables
Outstanding project coordination, time management, attention to detail, and analytical problem-solving skills
Highly developed interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills for diverse audiences, including an ability to communicate with professors, senior executives and team members from a range of sectors
