Salary: Band 3 $65,546.09 - $69,801.01 + superannuation

The opportunity

As a Team Member Parks Maintenance, you'll help keep Hobsons Bay's parks, gardens and open spaces looking their best. Working as part of the Parks and Open Space team, you'll undertake a variety of horticultural and maintenance activities, operate plant and equipment, and contribute to safe, high-quality public spaces that the community can enjoy every day.

What you’ll do

Carry out parks and horticultural maintenance including mowing, planting, weeding, mulching and garden care.
Maintain park assets such as playgrounds, furniture, fences, paths and landscaped areas.
Operate and undertake routine maintenance of plant, machinery and equipment.
Complete safety documentation, follow safe work practices and identify workplace hazards.
Record work activities digitally and provide excellent customer service to the community.

What you need to succeed

Trade Certificate in Horticulture or relevant horticultural experience.
Experience operating and maintaining a range of light and heavy machinery.
Proven ability to deliver high-quality parks and open space maintenance.
Confidence using mobile devices and digital systems to manage work activities.
Current Victorian Driver's Licence and ability to obtain a medium rigid truck endorsement.

Pre-Employment Requirements

Progressed candidates will be required to complete a National Police Record Check, a Pre-Employment Medical Check. Candidates must also hold a valid Victorian Driver's License, with the ability to obtain a medium rigid truck endorsement.

Applicants must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or hold a valid work permit or visa with full unrestricted working rights. Work eligibility will be checked as part of the recruitment process.
