Pre-Delivery Technician – Caravans
Crusader Caravans is looking for a reliable and hands-on Pre-Delivery Technician to join our team.
This role is responsible for preparing caravans to a high standard before customer handover. You will ensure every caravan is clean, correctly set up, fully tested and ready for the customer to enjoy. You will also conduct customer handovers, clearly explaining how the caravan’s systems, appliances and features work.
This is a customer-facing position, so strong communication skills, attention to detail and pride in your work are essential.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare new and used caravans for customer delivery.
- Complete detailed pre-delivery inspections using the required checklist.
- Thoroughly clean and present caravans inside and out.
- Set up caravans correctly and ensure they are ready for handover.
- Test caravan systems, appliances, accessories and equipment to confirm they operate correctly.
- Check that all supplied items, manuals, keys and accessories are present.
- Identify faults, damage or incomplete work before the caravan reaches the customer.
- Complete minor repairs, adjustments and rectification work during the pre-delivery process.
- Report larger or specialised repairs to the appropriate team member and follow them through to completion.
- Ensure each caravan meets Crusader Caravans’ expected presentation and quality standards.
- Conduct clear, friendly and informative customer handovers.
- Demonstrate how the caravan’s systems, appliances and features work.
- Answer customer questions and help them feel confident operating their new caravan.
- Safely move, position and park caravans around the dealership.
- Keep the pre-delivery and handover areas clean, organised and safe.
- Work closely with the sales, service and workshop teams to meet scheduled handover dates.
- Follow all workplace health and safety procedures.
About you
To succeed in this role, you will have:

- The confidence to explain caravan systems in a clear and easy-to-understand way.
- A reliable work ethic and a positive attitude.
- Good organisation skills and the ability to follow detailed checklists.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a small team.
- A current Australian driver licence.
- The physical ability to carry out cleaning, setup and general pre-delivery duties.
The following would be highly regarded:
- Previous caravan, RV, automotive, marine, mechanical or trade-related experience.
- Experience towing and manoeuvring caravans, trailers or boats.
- A current forklift licence.
- Experience completing minor repairs, maintenance or handyman work.
- Knowledge of caravan appliances, electrical, plumbing and gas systems.

Pay: $28.00 – $35.00 per hour
