The impact you'll have:

At the Workplace Injury Commission, we've helped thousands of injured workers and employers to resolve their disputes and move forward with their lives. We're a robust Victorian Government statutory authority that's making an impact.

The Program Finance Officer is responsible for leading financial governance and control across Program Elevate and its component projects, ensuring consistent standards and providing expert advice on financial management, reporting, and risk and issue oversight. This role delivers clear, timely financial insights and high-quality briefings to the Program Director, Project Sponsors, and Program Steering Committee, enabling informed decision-making on financial performance, affordability, and risk exposure.

Through accurate forecasting, analysis of actuals versus budgets, and proactive recommendations, the Program Finance Officer supports effective budget management, capacity planning, and the ongoing optimisation of program delivery.

Who we're looking for:

To succeed in this role, you will have:

Demonstrated experience managing financial governance, budgeting and forecasting within large programs, portfolios or complex transformation initiatives.
Strong understanding of program and project accounting principles, including cost allocation, capital and operating expenditure management, cost recovery approaches and financial controls.
Experience designing or improving financial operating models that support project, program and portfolio delivery.
Demonstrated ability to establish and manage consolidated program budgets spanning multiple projects, workstreams and funding sources.
Strong financial analysis capability, including forecasting, trend analysis, variance analysis, scenario modelling and investment evaluation
