About the role:
The Adviser, Sourcing and Contracts, supports the delivery of effective, compliant and value‑for‑money procurement activities across the eHealth division, including for the Department of Families, Fairness and Housing (DFFH) through the shared services agreement. Working under direction, the role contributes to end‑to‑end sourcing processes, including procurement planning, market engagement, tendering, evaluation and contract establishment. The Adviser provides practical procurement advice, prepares documentation, and supports post‑award activities such as maintaining records, tracking milestones and assisting with variations under guidance. The role supports reporting and audit requirements, assists stakeholders to understand procurement obligations, and contributes to continuous improvement of sourcing processes.

About you:
Can you demonstrate the following?

Interpret and apply procurement policies, business plans and legislative frameworks to their area of responsibility

Develop and apply guidelines and procedures within the sourcing/procurement function
-
Define the appropriate methodology when analysing sourcing options or procurement approaches
-
Convey specialist procurement concepts and policies to internal clients and stakeholders
-
Prepare reports, briefs and correspondence on complex sourcing matters that may impact programs or organisational outcomes

Apply negotiation, persuasion and influencing skills to manage suppliers and internal stakeholders
Qualifications / Specialist Expertise

A tertiary qualification in fields relevant to procurement, and/or business systems, or equivalent is highly desirable.
Mandatory
-
Knowledge of Victorian Government procurement frameworks, policies and delegations is required.
Desirable
- Experience in vendor management tools and software is advantageous.
