Location: Sippy Downs, QLD
Work Type: Part-Time (2-3 days per week /16-24hrs per week )
Remuneration: Competitive Salary (inclusive of Superannuation) + Commissions + Professional Development (CPD) allowance
About the Role
Sycamore Health is looking for a sociable and professional Accredited Exercise Physiologist to join our passionate team. In this role, you will manage a diverse and rewarding caseload, providing individualised, evidence-based treatment to different individuals. You will have the opportunity to work with clients in a 1:1 and group setting in a fully equipped gym that is exclusively for the clinic. You will work independently as an AEP while also working closely with Physiotherapists who value your expertise in chronic health and injury management to deliver multi-disciplinary care.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Care: Deliver tailored exercise physiology assessments and treatment plans for a diverse client base, including NDIS, WorkCover, DVA, and private patients.
Group Class Prescription: Plan and facilitate clinical exercise group classes tailored to specific populations, including:
- Bone Health (Osteoporosis/Osteopenia management)
- Women’s Health & Men's Health
- Teenage-specific strength and conditioning / rehab
Documentation & Administration: Track, document, and report on client outcomes, ensuring standard compliance and excellent continuity of care.
Team Culture & Support
We pride ourselves on fostering a collaborative environment where professional growth and personal well-being go hand-in-hand. We believe that the best clinical outcomes stem from a team that communicates openly and supports one another:
- Weekly Team Meetings: We hold dedicated weekly sessions to review complex caseloads. This provides a platform for clinicians to share insights, seek advice on challenging presentations, and collectively brainstorm evidence-based strategies, ensuring our patients receive the benefit of our combined expertise.
- Monthly Mentoring: You will have dedicated 1:1 time with senior team members. This is a supportive space to discuss your caseload, refine your reporting skills, or receive guidance on any other aspects of your role, ensuring you feel confident and well-supported.
- Fortnightly Team Lunches: Beyond clinical collaboration, we value the social fabric of our team. Our fortnightly paid lunches are a dedicated time for us to step away from the clinic floor, catch up, and strengthen the personal connections that make our workplace truly supportive and enjoyable.
- Supported Professional Development: We are committed to your ongoing growth. Whether you have a specific clinical interest you want to sharpen or a new skill you’re eager to develop, our professional development support is flexible and tailored to help you pursue the areas that matter most to your career.
The Perfect Candidate
We are looking for a clinician who brings both technical skill and the right mindset to our practice. You will be a great fit if you are:
- Qualified: Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Physiology, current ESSA Accreditation (AEP), a clear National Police Check, and a Working with Children Check (Blue Card).
- A True Team Player: Someone who is highly collaborative and genuinely values working as and for the team, rather than just operating as an isolated individual.
- Adaptable & Autonomous: Striking the perfect balance, you are just as comfortable working independently to drive results as you are collaborating seamlessly with the wider team.
- An Excellent Time Manager: You can efficiently balance the day-to-day demands of managing a clinical caseload, staying on top of report writing, and contributing to potential clinic marketing or community outreach initiatives.
- Passionate & Growth-Oriented: You are someone who actively pursues professional development and personal growth. Whether you are honing your skills through sports, music, or other interests, we value individuals who bring that same drive for improvement into both their professional and personal lives.
What’s in It for You?
- Work-Life Balance: Enjoy the ultimate Sunshine Coast lifestyle with a negotiable 2-3-day work week, leaving you plenty of time to enjoy the beach and local lifestyle.
- Attractive Remuneration: Competitive salary package (inclusive of Superannuation). Commissions available.
