This position will provide a senior level of radiation therapy services as a member of a team in the following clinical areas:
Radiation Therapy Treatment
Radiation Treatment Planning
Quality Assurance Checking
Education and Development
Radiation Therapist - Senior clinicians within Radiation Oncology work as a team to meet clinical demand in keeping with Clinical Prioritisation Document. Staff will be required to work across other clinical services and facilities within Cancer Care Services as required to assist in meeting patient care needs, managing leave cover, and succession planning of staff.
Key Responsibilities include:
Possess a high level of expertise in radiation therapy treatment and planning clinical practice and regularly apply clinical knowledge and skills to complex, critical decision making with limited professional supervision in treatment, planning and quality assurance work units.
Actively participate in the development of clinical protocols that meet international best practice standards, including such changes as required by technological and medical advances incorporating continuous quality improvement and use evidence-based principles to identify and implement continuous improvement changes through approved change management strategies.
Ensure compliance with working practices and standards that provide for safely delivered radiation therapy treatment, maintaining a sound understanding of all external legislative and internal policies and procedures that impact in the relevant clinical service area.
Remuneration value up to $157,359p.a., comprising salary between $128,169 - $137,918 p.a., employer contribution to superannuation (12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (HP4).
