About the business

Lake Norong Pty Ltd requires a qualified and experienced Senior Chef, for a permanent full time position . Great lifestyle location - Waterfront venue located at Broadwater Parklands, Southport QLD 4215.

About the role Sous:

Qualified and experienced Senior Chef required to join our kitchen brigade. Must have a love for food, be able to produce a consistent product, thrive in a busy environment and have great communication and organisational skills.

You will be responsible supporting the Head/Executive Chef in our busy restaurant kitchen delivering consistently high-quality food.

Responsibilities:

Assist managing & supervising all aspects of kitchen including chefs and cooks;
Prepare meals and assist in running of the kitchen and restaurant;
Maintain larder and inventory;
Assist with menu planning and seasonal menu changes;
Assist with management of kitchen and staff;
Quality control and assurance;
Maintaining OH&S and hygiene standards;
Assist in staff training where required and skilled to do so.

Skills and experience

Minimum Certificate III or higher qualification in Commercial Cookery;
Min. 3+ years' experience in chef position wanting to step-up.

Good communication skills and be able to work well as part of a team.
A high standard of spoken and written English.

Pay: $76,515.00 – $86,515.00 per year
