Full Job Description

We're a busy, established multi-service workshop based in Molendinar on the Gold Coast. Three streams under one roof:

General mechanical workshop (everything from logbook services to complex diagnostics and repairs)
Trade-in vehicle preparation and reconditioning

The workshop is steady year-round — fleet plus retail means we never run dry, even in quiet seasons.

Who We're Looking For

We need a real mechanic. Someone who can open the bonnet, work out what's wrong, and fix it — without needing supervision, second-guessing, or hand-holding. If you've been carrying juniors at your last job and are tired of it, you'll fit right in here.

Must Have:

Minimum 8 years hands-on workshop experience (real years on the tools — certificates alone don't cut it)
Strong diagnostic skills across mechanical AND electrical
Confident with brakes, suspension, steering, transmission, cooling, AC, and modern engine management
Comfortable working across European, Japanese, Korean, and Australian makes
Australian driver's licence
Full working rights in Australia

Highly Regarded:

ABN (sub-contractor arrangement preferred)
Experience with diagnostic scan tools (Autel, Launch, dealer-level tools)
Experience with fleet servicing or rental vehicle maintenance

What You'll Do

Diagnose and repair customer vehicles independently from job card to invoice
Service and maintain our rental fleet (preventive maintenance, repairs, RWC inspections)
Recondition trade-in vehicles for resale
Work alongside the owner and existing team in a small, professional environment
Own your jobs — open them, work them, close them properly

What We Offer

$40 – $45 per hour depending on experience
Sub-contractor arrangement with ABN preferred; employee option available with super, leave, and entitlements per Award
Mon–Thu 7:00am – 3:00pm, Fri 7:00am – 12:30pm — real weekends, no late nights
