Property, Workplace and Development (PWD) is a group within DPHI overseeing the management of NSW Government real property assets. PWD includes Property & Development NSW, Waste Assets Management Corporation, Hunter & Central Coast Development Corporation, Office of Strategic Lands and Sydney Olympic Park Authority.

Property & Development NSW (PDNSW) is an agency within DPHI. PDNSW is responsible for the management and delivery of large scale or complex real estate projects, programs, transactions, workplace strategy, design and delivery, and manages a significant proportion of the NSW Government’s significant property portfolio.

The Role

Our Financial Accountant is responsible for providing timely, high-level support in preparing, analysing and delivering the Department’s financial accounting services, reports and advice, ensuring compliance with accounting policies, Australian Accounting Standards, NSW Treasury policies and other statutory requirements.

You will maintain internal controls for financial systems to ensure integrity of financial data for reporting purposes and initiate remedial action to meet audit recommendations, prepare Annual Financial Statements to ensure statutory requirements are achieved in compliance with the Audit Office and management of Audit and Risk committee requirements.

Support our division in meeting financial and management reporting requirements for Treasury and WofG Consolidation for General Government Agencies as well as managing Carry forwards, Capital requirements and new proposal for funding to Treasury and become an integral part of our collaborative and inclusive team.

You will bring degree qualification in Commerce, Business or similar field, or currently completing a Degree qualification in Commerce, Business or relevant field, and relevant practical experience and must have commenced the CA/CPA or equivalent program or be fully committed to beginning it in the immediate intake.
