Senior Accountant / Finance & Payroll Officer – Aged Care
Part-Time | 3–5 Days Per Week | $45–$60 per hour + super (depending on experience)
We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant / Finance & Payroll Officer to join our growing aged care provider business.
This is a hands-on role suited to an experienced Accountant, Bookkeeper or Finance Officer who can confidently manage the day-to-day financial operations of a growing organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable from end to end.
- Process, code and reconcile supplier invoices and payments.
- Manage debtor accounts, invoicing, receipts and outstanding payments.
- Process weekly/fortnightly payroll, including timesheets, leave, overtime, allowances and superannuation.
- Maintain accurate employee payroll records and resolve payroll queries.
- Complete bank, supplier, debtor and general ledger reconciliations.
- Assist with BAS, reporting, month-end processes and financial compliance.
- Monitor cash flow and provide financial information to management.
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure all transactions are appropriately documented.
- Assist with audits, budgeting, forecasting and year-end requirements.
- Work closely with management and administration teams to improve financial processes and controls.
- Ensure confidentiality and accuracy across all financial and employee records.
About You
- Previous experience in accounting, bookkeeping, payroll or finance.
- Strong knowledge of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Payroll.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Strong Excel and accounting software skills.
- Experience with Xero, MYOB or similar accounting platforms highly regarded.
- Aged care, NDIS, healthcare or community services experience highly desirable.
- Reliable, professional and proactive approach.
- Ability to speak and communicate effectively in Mandarin and/or Cantonese is highly desirable to support our diverse client community.
