Restaurant Manager / Head of Floor

Full-Time | Brisbane Dockside | $65,000–$75,000 + Super

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Restaurant Manager / Head of Floor to join our team at a sophisticated waterfront restaurant in the Dockside area of Brisbane.

This is a hands-on leadership role suited to an experienced hospitality professional who understands what it takes to deliver exceptional food, wine and guest experiences in a high-end dining environment.

You will take ownership of the Front of House operation, lead and develop the floor team, and work closely with the Head Chef to ensure seamless service from the kitchen through to the guest.

Key Responsibilities

* Lead, manage and motivate the entire Front of House team.

* Recruit, train, coach and develop team members to maintain consistently high service standards.

* Prepare and manage staff rosters and oversee daily floor operations.

* Deliver exceptional, personalised guest service consistent with fine dining standards.

* Maintain a polished and professional floor environment at all times.

* Coordinate closely with the Head Chef to ensure smooth communication between the kitchen and FOH.

* Manage reservations, table allocations and floor flow throughout service.

* Build strong relationships with guests and respond professionally to feedback and special requests.

* Assist with wine list management and ensure confident, knowledgeable beverage service.

* Support stock control, ordering and beverage inventory management.

* Lead service by example with a highly visible and hands-on approach.

* Maintain high standards of presentation, professionalism, hygiene and hospitality.

About You

We are looking for someone who brings both leadership and genuine hospitality to the role.

You will ideally have:

* Proven experience as a Restaurant Manager, Floor Manager, Head Waiter or similar senior FOH position within a fine dining or high-end restaurant.

* Strong leadership and team-management skills.

* A hands-on attitude and willingness to work alongside the team during busy services.

* Exceptional personal presentation and professional communication skills.

* Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build genuine relationships with guests and team members.

* Strong knowledge of food, wine and food-and-wine pairing.

* Confidence managing a busy dining room and maintaining service standards under pressure.

* Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.

* A genuine passion for hospitality and delivering memorable guest experiences.

* Valid working rights in Australia.
