The role

We are seeking full- time passionate and culturally aware Job Mentors to join our team in the locations of Earlville

As a job mentor, you will walk alongside our First Nations participants, offering tailored mentoring, guidance, and advocacy throughout their employment journey from finding work to maintaining work.

Key Responsibilities

As a Job Mentor at Bamara, you will play a crucial role in guiding and supporting individuals in their professional development. Working within an innovative and dynamic environment, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the career growth of our participants and their communities.

Build strong, respectful relationships with First Nations participants
Provide individualised mentoring and coaching to support work readiness
Assist clients in identifying career goals and developing job plans
Prepare and assist participants to keep employment once gained.
Connect participants with suitable training, employment, and community support services
Liaise with employers to support sustainable employment outcomes
Maintain accurate records and comply with Workforce Australia contractual obligations

Skills and Experiences:
Skills and experiences

Proven experience in a senior position within the Employment Services sector
Strong business acumen to quickly learn how the business works and how to utilise strategies and tactics to achieve business objectives
Strong ability to comfortably work towards KPI's and targets in order to meet and exceed performance and financial objectives
Able to identify opportunities to grow the business through sound financial and commercial judgement
Inspiring, encouraging, and motivating others
Leading others by example towards personal and organisational success, through positivity and motivation
Prepared to make tough calls to move the business forward
Makes sound decisions with a defensible rationale
Future orientated and aware of the implications of decisions and actions
High Level verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills
Effective time management and organisational skills
Strong administration skills
IT skills including working experience using Microsoft Office Suite
Strategic thinking skills and the ability to provide strategic advice, develop options, analyse risks, make good judgements, and solve problems
Excellent negotiation, influencing and persuasion skills
Certificate IV in Employment Services (preferred but not essential)
Diploma of Quality Auditing (preferred but not essential)
Proven experience working with government contractual obligations and guidelines
Must pass and have a current Police Check (ongoing requirement for employment)
Must pass and have a current Working with Children Check and/or Vulnerable Persons Check (ongoing requirement for employment)
