Your Opportunity
As a Coordinator, you will play a vital role in supporting clients, People Leaders, and team members to deliver program activities that reflect Mission Australia’s values and outcomes. Working under general direction from the Program Manager, you will exercise autonomy in planning, coordinating, and supervising activities and programs for clients and employees in line with program guidelines.
You will be the first point of contact for resolving client-related conflicts, ensuring a positive and supportive environment. Additionally, you will provide guidance and expert advice to employees at lower levels, contributing to the effective delivery of services and overall program success.
Key Responsibilities

Lead daily operations across the Douglas House program

Manage and mentor a team of 11 staff and 3 volunteers

Support recruitment, selection, and induction of new staff

Assist the Program Manager with coordination within the Program

Engage with community members and stakeholders to promote participation

Complete administrative tasks to ensure efficient service delivery, including logistics, reporting, letters, plans, and data entry in client management systems

Oversee shifts/rosters, case planning, and goal plans, providing guidance on best practice
Requirements for Success

Relevant degree with experience; or Associate Diploma with substantial experience

Proven ability to mentor and guide team members

Strong administrative skills for maintaining accurate records

Demonstrated ability to plan, coordinate, and supervise activities or programs in compliance with guidelines and standards

Experience in counselling and community development, including engaging with diverse communities
Before starting work with us, you will need to undertake a national police history check, qualifications, and referee checks, and have a clearance to work with children/vulnerable people.
