About Us

Court Services Victoria provides corporate services and facilities to support the performance of the judicial, quasi-judicial and administrative functions of Victoria's courts and tribunal, Judicial College and Judicial Commission.

Collectively, Victoria's Supreme, County, Magistrates', Children's, and Coroners courts, the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT), the Judicial College of Victoria, the Judicial Commission of Victoria, and Court Services Victoria (CSV) are referred to as the ‘Courts Group'.

The Magistrates' Court of Victoria (MCV) has a long history of providing justice for the people of Victoria in metropolitan and regional courts across the state. The MCV determines in excess of 200,000 cases per annum at 51 venues, dealing with over 90 percent of all adult cases that come before Victorian courts each year.

MCV aims to be an innovative, accessible and responsive court that provides quality services to the Victorian community.

The Court Integrated Services Program (CISP) is a court-based therapeutic program. It aims to reduce the likelihood of reoffending by supporting individuals to access services such as:

Drug and alcohol treatment
Crisis and supported accommodation
Disability and mental health services
Acquired brain injury services
Koori-specific services

About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Case Manager to join the Court Integrated Services Program (CISP), supporting individuals on bail to address complex needs and achieve positive behavioural change.

This role provides case management support, utilising a client-centred and problem-solving approach, to people on bail with a range of complex needs who are participating in the CISP program to support engagement in their rehabilitation and achieve positive behavioural change.

You will:

Deliver client-centred, strengths-based case management to individuals with complex needs
Complete assessments and develop tailored support and treatment plans
Apply evidence-informed interventions to support rehabilitation and reduce reoffending
Manage risks and maintain accurate, confidential documentation
Prepare reports and present confidently in a court setting
Build strong relationships with court stakeholders and external service providers
Navigate and connect clients to local service systems and referral pathways

About You

You will bring:

Extensive experience in the assessment and case management of clients with complex needs
Demonstrated capacity to provide a culturally responsive and inclusive service to clients
Demonstrated client engagement and management skills, including motivational interviewing techniques
Excellent case formulation and written communication skills
Tertiary qualification (minimum Diploma level highly desirable) related to case management practice with forensic clients; such
as social work, psychology, welfare, drug and alcohol or another related field and/or relevant experience
