We are looking for a Patient Services Officer (Medical Administration) to join our supportive team at our Wembley Oncology Clinic in a full time capacity.

In this patient facing role, you will play a key part in creating a positive experience for our patients and supporting the smooth day to day operation of the clinic. You will bring professionalism, compassion, and strong organisational skills to a fast paced and rewarding healthcare environment.

More specifically, you will:

Manage day to day administrative and clerical activities to support clinic operations
Coordinate patient appointments, including scheduling, updating, and confirming bookings
Process billing, receipting, and related administrative tasks accurately and efficiently
Maintain accurate patient information across clinical and administrative systems
Prepare, scan, file, and manage documentation in accordance with privacy and compliance requirements
Maintain organised and up to date patient records and administrative files
Support effective clinic workflows through proactive and efficient administration
Collaborate with internal teams regarding schedules, patient documentation, and operational processes
Prioritise and manage multiple tasks while maintaining a high level of accuracy in a busy environment

We’re looking for someone who has:

A passion for delivering exceptional patient care and customer service
Strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
The ability to work autonomously while also contributing positively within a collaborative team environment
Experience with patient billing systems and an understanding of Medicare billing mechanisms, which will be highly regarded
A professional and empathetic telephone manner, with confidence managing a high volume of patient enquiries
Excellent attention to detail and strong administrative capabilities
A flexible and adaptable approach, with the ability to thrive in a dynamic healthcare setting
Previous experience in medical administration, healthcare reception, or a similar patient services role preferred
