Full Job Description

Moresby Ave Childcare and Early Learning Centre (MACC) is a 39-place, community-based, not-for-profit early learning service governed by a dedicated Parent Committee of Management.

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic, experienced and passionate Room Leader to lead our Toddler Room. This is a full-time position offering the opportunity to inspire a team, create engaging learning environments and make a lasting impact on the lives of young children and their families.

About the Role

As the Toddler Room Leader, you will:

Lead and inspire a team of educators to provide high-quality education and care.
Create a safe, welcoming and engaging learning environment that supports children's development and wellbeing.
Develop and implement meaningful educational programs guided by the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).
Foster strong, respectful and collaborative relationships with children, families and colleagues.
Mentor and support educators through positive leadership and ongoing professional guidance.
Maintain high standards of documentation, observations and planning.
Ensure compliance with the National Quality Framework, National Regulations and service policies.
Contribute to continuous quality improvement of our service.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

A strong understanding of the National Quality Framework, National Quality Standards and Early Years Learning Framework.
Previous experience working as a Room Leader or demonstrated leadership capabilities.
Passion, enthusiasm and commitment to delivering high-quality early childhood education.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
The ability to build positive, respectful relationships with children, families and colleagues.
A collaborative leadership style with the ability to motivate and support a team.
Commitment to creating inclusive, culturally safe and welcoming environments for all children and families.
A proactive approach to continuous improvement and reflective practice.

Essential Qualifications & Requirements

Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care (or ACECQA-approved equivalent).
Current Employee Working with Children Check.
Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualifications.
Current Child Protection, National Child Safety and Safe Sleep training
National Police Check (or willingness to obtain).
Current Victorian Teacher and Early Childhood Mandatory Reporting knowledge.
Full Australian working rights.
