Full Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and reliable Cafe Cook to join our fast-paced kitchen team. You will be responsible for preparing high-quality breakfast, lunch, and grab-and-go items while maintaining excellent food safety standards. If you thrive under pressure and love short-order cooking, we want to hear from you.Key Responsibilities

Food Preparation: Prepare, cook, and present menu items quickly and consistently according to standard recipes.
Kitchen Operations: Manage the breakfast and lunch service, ensuring smooth communication with front-of-house staff.
Food Safety: Maintain strict hygiene, cleaning, and sanitisation schedules in compliance with local food safety regulations.
Inventory Control: Monitor stock levels, rotate produce using FIFO methods, and assist with ordering.
Teamwork: Work collaboratively with baristas, waitstaff, and kitchen hands to deliver a seamless customer experience.

Skills & Experience Required

Minimum 1–2 years of experience as a cook or chef in a high-volume cafe or restaurant kitchen.
A valid Food Handler’s Certificate is essential.
A Certificate III in Commercial Cookery is highly regarded but not mandatory.
Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene regulations, and kitchen WHS practices.
Ability to stay calm, focused, and efficient during busy morning and weekend rushes.
Excellent communication skills and a reliable, punctual work ethic.

Pay: $53,692.94 – $83,045.08 per year
