Full Job Description

ESS provides multi-service capability to major companies and organisations operating in remote sites, gold mines and coal fields. We provide vital workplace support for people working in some of the most isolated terrains in the world, from oil rigs in the North Sea to gold mines in the Australian Outback.

Due to unprecedented growth across the east coast remote sector we are looking an experienced Health and Wellbeing Coordinator to take us into our next growth phase at Harmony Gold – Eva Copper. This is a remote village with approximately 400-1200 residents. Eva Copper is located 75km north of Cloncurry and is poised to become the largest Copper Mine in Queensland. Working with well-regarded clients, the successful candidate will do an 14/14 roster working 11 hour days and will be fly-in, fly-out ex Townsville or Brisbane, with flights, accommodation and meals included.

We’re seeking energetic, passionate, and experienced Health & Wellbeing Coordinators ready to elevate their careers in a unique and rewarding environment. You’ll play a key role in fostering a thriving, healthy community in a remote setting.

The Position

Plan and deliver engaging social events on site
Assist with event management and coordination for site‑wide activities
Conduct a variety of group fitness activities and classes for residents
Implement and assist in the coordination of company-wide health initiatives
Monitor and maintain all sporting, leisure and recreational activities / facilities on site
Conduct Health Assessments and Gym Inductions for residents
Provide educational seminars as required
Ensure communication and reporting processes are followed

The Person

A Certificate IV in Fitness, Diploma of Sport and Recreation or health related degree is essential
Minimum 12 months experience in a similar environment
Current first aid and CPR certificates
Australian manual driver’s licence
Current National Police Check
Passion for physical and mental health and fitness
Previous experience conducting group fitness activities and classes
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Experience in technical aspects of gym and recreation facilities
High level focus on engagement with Clients and village residents
Health promotion background
Event management experience is highly desirable
