After six beautiful years, we’re saying goodbye to our queen of the kitchen, Larissa. We’re not crying, you are. But while it’s the end of an era, it also opens a pretty exciting opportunity for someone new to take the reins of the Si Paradiso kitchen.Whether you’re an experienced Sous Chef ready jump into your first Head Chef role, or an established Head Chef looking for a new kitchen to call home – if you love food, love people and genuinely gets a kick out of running a great kitchen, this could be the role for you.

A little bit about us…

Si Paradiso is a bit of everything — a vibrant restaurant, a bustling open-air courtyard, an amphitheatre, a dance floor and, depending on the night, a little bit of beautiful chaos. At the heart of it all is our food. Our kitchen is all about produce-led, Italo-inspired food. Think pizzas, plates, snacks and plenty of room to play. While the menu moves with the seasons, but the philosophy stays pretty simple: great produce, thoughtful cooking and food people genuinely want to eat.We’re big believers that hospitality is about more than what lands on the plate. It’s about creating honest, memorable experiences through the spaces we create, the food and drinks we serve, and the relationships we build with the people around us.And that goes for our team too.As part of Sans Pants Group, we want our people to have a voice in where we’re going. What we’re looking for?

Has strong experience as a Sous Chef ready for the next step, or already has runs on the board as a Head Chef
Is passionate about seasonal, produce-driven food and understands the beauty of keeping things simple and doing them really well
Can lead, mentor and build a strong kitchen culture
Is creative and wants to have a genuine hand in shaping the food at Si Paradiso
Understands the numbers — wage costs, COGS, ordering, rostering and all the less fun, but very important bits
Loves working collaboratively with FOH and the wider venue team
Can stay cool when the docket printer has other ideas
Cares about creating a kitchen that people actually want to work in
Brings ideas, personality and a bit of themselves to the table

Most importantly, we’re looking for someone who gets what Si Paradiso is about — great food, good people, big energy and not taking ourselves too seriously while taking what we do seriously.
