12-month Full-Time Contract
Hybrid working, mix of office and working from home
Location: North Sydney, NSW

ABOUT US:

We have been serving Australian customers since 2019, operating a network of more than 500 fuel and convenience locations nationwide. Following Ampol Group's acquisition of the EG Australia business we are embarking on an exciting period of transition with a continued focus on delivering quality fuel, everyday essentials, fresh food, meal solutions, and convenience products to our customers.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to join our team on a 12-month term contract. Reporting to the Payroll Lead, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate, compliant and timely payroll processing, while contributing to continuous improvement across systems and processes.

In this role you will be responsible for:

Perform Superannuation payment processing, including validation, reconciliation, and timely submission.
Prepare, review, and lodge Single Touch Payroll (STP) submissions in accordance with ATO requirements.
Validate payroll-related General Ledger (GL) reports and investigate variances.
Support payroll balance sheet reconciliations, including payroll clearing accounts, employee deductions, superannuation, payroll tax, and other payroll liabilities.
Prepare and lodge payroll tax returns across relevant jurisdictions.
Liaise with internal and external stakeholders regarding payroll-related matters.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

Strong understanding of Australian payroll legislation, including Superannuation Guarantee, Single Touch Payroll (STP) and Payroll Tax requirements
Proven experience using SAP HR/Payroll systems
Experience performing payroll-related General Ledger reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Ability to manage competing priorities and meet strict deadlines.
