We're looking for an experienced Payroll Specialist to join our team and play a critical role in ensuring our healthcare professionals are paid accurately, compliantly, and on time.
This is a fast-paced and rewarding role for someone who enjoys working with complex payrolls, interpreting Awards and Enterprise Agreements, solving problems, and delivering exceptional service. You'll be a trusted payroll expert, working closely with healthcare professionals, contractors, recruiters, and internal stakeholders to ensure a seamless payroll experience across our workforce.

Process weekly payroll for doctors, nurses, allied health professionals, and contractors, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Interpret and apply relevant Awards, Enterprise Agreements, allowances, penalties, overtime, and loadings.
Review, validate, and reconcile timesheets, payroll data, and pay calculations.
Respond to payroll enquiries from healthcare professionals, contractors, and stakeholders, providing timely and accurate resolutions.
Ensure payroll processes comply with Fair Work legislation, taxation requirements, superannuation obligations, and company policies.
Maintain payroll records and documentation with a high level of accuracy, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
Collaborate closely with recruitment and workforce teams to ensure pay rates, allowances, and contractual arrangements are correctly applied.
Reconcile payroll reports and support month-end, year-end, and audit requirements.
Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies, identifying root causes and implementing preventative measures.
Support payroll system enhancements, process improvements, and automation initiatives that improve efficiency and accuracy.
Contribute to a positive workforce experience through exceptional customer service and stakeholder support.
Demonstrated experience in a Payroll Specialist, Payroll Officer, or similar payroll position.
Experience processing high-volume weekly payrolls within a complex workforce environment.
Strong knowledge of Australian Awards, Enterprise Agreements, payroll legislation, allowances, penalties, and overtime calculations.
Experience working within healthcare staffing, recruitment, labour hire, workforce solutions, or other contractor-based environments is highly regarded.
Excellent numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate and resolve payroll issues effectively.
Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work to strict payroll deadlines while managing multiple priorities.
Proficiency with payroll systems and Microsoft Excel.
A proactive, solutions-focused approach and commitment to continuous improvement.
