About the role
At SunRice, our people are at the heart of everything we do - and delivering a great employee experience starts with systems that simply work. That’s where you come in.
We’re looking for a People Systems Specialist who can turn data into insight, systems into seamless experiences, and complexity into clarity. Sitting within our People, Culture & Safety team, this role ensures our HR and safety systems are accurate, compliant, and delivering real business value.
You’ll be the go-to expert for our core platforms (SAP, SuccessFactors, Kronos/UKG and DoneSafe), supporting efficient employee lifecycle processes and enabling leaders to make informed, data-driven decisions.
This role blends detail with strategy - maintaining data integrity while contributing to the evolution of our HR systems and roadmap.
Key responsibilities will include:
Maintain the integrity, accuracy and security of people and payroll data across SAP S/4Hana, SuccessFactors, Kronos/UKG and DoneSafe
Deliver reporting and analytics, including monthly reporting, payroll variance analysis, and data quality checks
Build self-service dashboards and reporting solutions to support leaders
Enable efficient system processes across the employee lifecycle (recruitment through to offboarding)
Provide clear, actionable insights to HRBPs, leaders and stakeholders
Respond to ad hoc data requests, simplifying complex information
Partner with People & Culture teams to support annual cycles such as performance and remuneration reviews
Contribute to the HRIS roadmap, driving system improvements and enhancing employee experience
Collaborate with Payroll, Finance, Safety and external stakeholders to ensure compliance and alignment
About You
You thrive at the intersection of people, data and systems. Detail-oriented and naturally curious, you enjoy uncovering insights that help organisations work better.
You’re also an effective communicator who can translate technical information into clear, practical outcomes for a wide range of stakeholders.
You will bring:
Experience working with HR and/or payroll systems, ideally SAP (S/4Hana), SuccessFactors or Kronos/UKG
Strong analytical and reporting capability, including advanced Excel and ideally Power BI or similar tools
Ability to translate complex data into meaningful insights
Understanding of data governance, integrity and compliance in HR systems
Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills
High attention to detail and accountability for quality outcomes
Knowledge of Australian payroll and awards (highly regarded)
Experience in FMCG, manufacturing, or a complex workforce environment (desirable)
