Job Description

ACEREZ, a partnership of ACCIONA, COBRA and Endeavour Energy, has been appointed network operator by EnergyCo to design, build, finance, operate and maintain the Central-West Orana Renewable Energy Zone (REZ) transmission network. The ACCIONA COBRA Joint Venture (ACJV), the design and construct (D&C) consortium, will design and build the Central-West Orana REZ transmission project.

The new transmission network infrastructure will deliver at least 4.5 gigawatts of new network capacity from 2028 to connect 7.7 gigawatts of wind and solar projects, which is enough to power more than 2 million homes each year.

Job Description

Our Central-West Orana REZ Transmission Project is currently seeking experienced Telehandler Operators to support material handling and lifting operations across access tracks, bulk earthworks and transmission infrastructure construction.

This is a remote project position operating on a 14 days on / 7 days off roster. Bus transport is currently provided from Sydney only, with various pick-up and drop-off locations between Sydney and the Mudgee region.

Applicants located within NSW outside the Sydney transport route will be required to DIDO (Drive In Drive Out) at their own expense. Please note this is not a FIFO role, and candidates residing outside NSW will be required to arrange and fund their own travel to Sydney or the site if successful.

Key Responsibilities

Operating telehandlers to lift, move and position materials and equipment safely
Supporting loading, unloading and placement of materials across site
Performing pre-start checks and routine equipment maintenance
Working closely with dogmen, riggers and site crews to coordinate lifts
Ensuring loads are secured and handled in line with safety standards
Assisting with general site tasks where required
Maintaining strict adherence to site safety procedures and requirements

Required Skills and Competencies

Minimum Skills and Qualifications

Minimum 5 years’ experience operating telehandlers in civil construction or infrastructure projects
Valid telehandler ticket/licence (high risk licence where required)
Experience in renewable energy projects highly desirable
Rigging or Dogging tickets highly desirable
Additional tickets (EWP, working at heights, traffic control) desirable
Full C Class driver’s licence at minimum
Construction White Card
Own vehicle
Willing to undertake a pre-employment medical and police check
