CMTL Group is currently seeking experienced Process Operators and Operator Maintainers to join a well-established gold mining operation at Mt Carlton Mine, Queensland.
This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with previous processing plant experience who are looking to join a professional team within a gold production environment.

Travel Requirements
This is not a FIFO position.
Suitable applicants must either:
- Be based in the Townsville region and utilise company-provided bus transport to and from site; or
- Be based in the Mackay region and be willing to drive to site at the commencement and completion of each roster.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor gold processing plant equipment
- Monitor plant performance and production targets
- Conduct routine inspections and plant housekeeping
- Identify and report equipment faults and process abnormalities
- Perform basic maintenance and operator maintenance tasks
- Assist maintenance teams during planned shutdowns
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental and operational procedures
- Maintain accurate production and operational records
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience as a Process Operator or Operator Maintainer within a mining or mineral processing environment
- Experience working within a fixed processing plant
- Strong understanding of plant operations, safety systems and production processes
- Ability to troubleshoot and identify operational issues
- Current Driver's Licence
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening
- Strong commitment to workplace safety
- Previous gold processing plant experience
Highly Desirable
- Operator Maintainer experience
- Forklift Licence
- Front End Loader or Telehandler experience
- Confined Space and Working at Heights
- Mechanical aptitude and maintenance experience
- Standard 11 or mining inductions
About You
We are looking for candidates who are not green to the mining industry and can confidently step into a processing plant role with minimal supervision. Previous exposure to gold processing operations will be highly regarded, along with a proactive attitude toward safety, reliability and teamwork.
