Full Job Description

National Floors Australia is one of the country’s fastest-growing flooring retailers. Since 2015 we’ve helped more than 10,000 customers create homes they love, and we’re still growing. We’re now looking for a Branch Manager to take full ownership of our Dandenong showroom — the team, the numbers and the customer experience.

This is a hands-on leadership role. You’ll run the floor, not a back office: coaching your salespeople between customers, carrying your own customers when the showroom is busy, and closing the deals that need a manager. You own the branch’s sales target and the standards behind it — quote quality, margin discipline, follow-up, showroom presentation, and how every customer is treated from the first walk-in to an installed floor.

We’ll be upfront: this is a demanding, target-driven role and we hold a high standard. We want a leader who owns the number without excuses, reports honestly when it’s behind, and moves fast to fix it. If you’re a Type A operator — driven, competitive, organised, high urgency — you’ll fit in well here. In return we invest properly in our people: strong training, ongoing coaching, clear targets, and a genuine path to bigger responsibility as we open more showrooms.

What you’ll do

Own the Dandenong showroom’s sales result — set the daily and weekly targets and drive the team to hit them
Lead, coach and develop a small showroom team: daily huddles, on-the-floor coaching, one-on-ones and rosters
Sell from the front — carry your own customers, prepare quotes and close the hard ones
Review quotes, margins and discounts before they go out, and hold the line on pricing
Keep every order clean end to end: measures, deposits, orders, installation scheduling and follow-up
Resolve customer and installation issues quickly, fairly and before they escalate
Run the showroom itself — presentation, samples, stock, safety and opening standards
Recruit, onboard and develop with head office, and address under-performance early and directly
Report weekly to the Sales Director on numbers, pipeline and people

What you’ll bring

3+ years in retail or in-home sales, including at least 1 year leading a team (store manager, assistant manager or 2IC)
A proven record of hitting targets personally and through the people you lead
Genuine accountability — you own the result, you report it straight, and you don’t wait to be chased
Leadership presence: you can coach, motivate, and have the hard conversation in the week it’s needed
Confidence with numbers — quoting, measuring, margins and branch reporting
Strong organisation and follow-through under pressure (a Type A personality is a plus)
Availability full-time, including Saturdays/Sundays
Australian work rights and the ability to commute to our Dandenong showroom
