Hawker Dental is seeking a dynamic and highly organised Dental Assistant to join the team in our modern practice.

At Hawker Dental we are a modern, 4 chair dental practice with full QIP accreditation and state-of-the-art equipment and technology. Our family dental practice opened in 1992. For over a quarter of a century, the dentists of Hawker Dental have served three generations of Hawker and Belconnen patients and their families in the community, we have a well-established patient following. We are a friendly and multicultural team and are looking forward to expanding the team!

We are conveniently located in the Playoust Building, nestled in the historic community of Hawker. Free parking available on site and close to public transport.

About the Role

As a Dental Assistant in our thriving Hawker practice, you’ll play a key role in clinical treatment. You’ll confidently and expertly provide high-quality clinical and administrative assistance to practice clinicians, as well as engage with patients in a positive and professional way. Your energetic nature and strong communication skills will help to ensure the ongoing success of the practice and the satisfaction of patients.

This is a part-time position requiring availability 2–3 days per week (Tuesday, Thursday and occasional Saturdays). Flexibility can be offered for the right candidate.

Skills & Experience

You have:

Proven experience as a Dental Assistant - preferred
Orthodontic knowledge - highly regarded
Sound computer literacy skills with proficiency in the MS Office suite
Previous experience using Dental 4 Windows (D4W) - desirable

You are:

Highly professional, with a polished image and good personal presentation
An excellent communicator - both written and oral - with strong attention to detail
Extremely organised, with the ability to prioritise busy workloads and manage multiple demands within required timeframes
Reliable and punctual, with a strong work ethic
