About the role:
This is key role in which you will deliver agreed business objectives within the region through achieving and exceeding logistics responsibilities across process adherence and improvement, technology optimisation, operational excellence and effective communication.
You will provide excellent administrative and secretarial support to the Regional Logistics Manager and provide support, coordinating communications and compliance within the team - applying your strong organisational skills to ensure the team operates efficiently.
Further and detailed responsibilities are found in the PD which is available upon request and will include:
- Complying with the requirements of the Safety, Health, and Environment Management System.
- Complying with all relevant company policies, procedures & work procedures.
- Maintaining driver & truck compliance sheets - ensuring all required documents are in date and on file.
- Maintaining and updating information into the accreditation records system.
- Sending out all required inductions to new onboarded drivers and monitoring existing drivers training records.
- Daily logistics admin tasks.
- Setting up new vendors and ensuring all required information is on file.
- End of month vendor adjustments.
About you:
Demonstrating a strong administration background and general understanding of the Transport industry detailed requirements include:
- Relevant qualification preferred (not essential).
- Credible frontline customer management experience (sales, customer services).
- Demonstrable experience in logistics and operations ideally within a related industry sector.
- Strong administrative skills and experience.
- Strong customer focus.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Working knowledge of CoR legislation and relevant transport rules and regulations (ideal)
- Experience and competence using SAP and Google drive and Mail applications and ability to learn and use other applications.
